Firearms Standards

Beginning on January 26, 2008, all CLEET certified peace officers are required to meet certain Uniformed Officer Qualification Standards  (Course Number: CL-0010) and Non-Uniformed Officer Qualification Standards (Course Number: CL-1198). Officers must attain a qualifying score of not less than seventy percent (70% or 72 points) utilizing their primary duty handgun.

NEED A POCKET CARD TO SHOW YOU COMPLETED AN ANNUAL FIREARMS REQUALIFICATION?

This card may be printed and taken to a qualified firearms instructor or other person authorized by statute or rule to administer annual peace officer firearms requalification exams to be completed.  A completed card may then be carried by the person who qualified as ready evidence of the annual requalification.  We strongly encourage instructors who complete these cards to maintain a record when they do so.
