Treasurer Meacham to Visit Unclaimed Property Booth at Tulsa State Fair 09/29/2008

WHAT: Searching for unclaimed property for fair attendees

WHEN: Tuesday, September 30, 10:00 a.m.

WHERE: The Treasurer's Unclaimed Property Booth, Expo Center, Tulsa Fairgrounds

WHY: To find the rightful owners of some $260 million in lost money being held for 350,000 people by the Treasurer's Office.

During the first few days of the Oklahoma State Fair, workers from State Treasurer Scott Meacham's Unclaimed Property Division found almost $100,000 for more than 150 people who visited the Treasurer's Unclaimed
Property Booth in the Expo Center.

On Tuesday morning, Treasurer Meacham will work at the booth, conducting searches for unclaimed property.
