The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation is offering up to a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person(s) responsible for the arson death of Johnny Ray Lee.

May 3, 2008, Lee's body was found in a bar ditch along side County Road 203, just southwest of Altus, Oklahoma. May 2nd, 2008, the 60-year-old victim left his home in Altus in his 1986 Ford pickup to drive to Quanah, Texas, where he was to visit friends for the weekend. Seven days later his truck was found abandoned in a field three miles southwest of where his body had been found. Lee was the sole caretaker for his elderly mother.

Lee died from massive burn injuries when his body was set on fire. The medical examiner determined Lee was alive at the time he was set on fire, and his death has been ruled a homicide. Due to the circumstances surrounding Lee's death, investigators believe that more than one person may have been involved and others have knowledge of the events leading to the death.
