Background: A meeting with key Oklahoma stakeholders, federal and state officials will discuss a new Medicare demonstration project to use certified electronic health records to improve patient care. Community leaders will be encouraged to join together to apply for assistance in acquiring health information technology for physicians' offices. The application process is open now through May. In June, 12 states selected to participate in the demonstration project will be announced.
