The Anderson Creek Fire remains at 397,420 acres.?? Due to diligent firefighting efforts, the
fire is now 36% contained, including both Oklahoma and in Kansas.?? The Anderson Creek Fire perimeter will be
flown again today to determine if there are any acreage updates.

From the air, Oklahoma Forestry Services officials report that
over 1,000 bales of hay, hundreds of miles of fence line and numerous cattle
were lost in the Anderson Creek Fire. Oklahoma Emergency Management damage
assessments are on-going. Numbers will be more refined throughout the day.

Livestock
producers who have been impacted by the fire need to contact their county Farm
Service Agency (FSA) Office. The FSA office has programs that can assist
producers who have lost cattle, hay and grass due to the wildland fires.?? Livestock producers can locate and find the

A hay donation
repository has been established west of Alva for individuals who would like to
donate hay directly to the producers who have been impacted by the fires.

donations.

Citizens are urged to report any smoke or fires to their nearest
fire department.?? It only takes a spark
to start a wildfire.
