Are trees good for you? The Oklahoma Urban and Community Forestry Council and Oklahoma Forestry Services invite you to explore the health and economic benefits provided by trees at their annual conference on Oct. 22. The conference will be held at Tulsa Community College, NE Campus, 3727 E. Apache Street, Tulsa, OK.
This year's conference theme is "Community Forestry-Human Health and Partnerships for Success." It offers a day of outstanding presentations, including featured speaker Dr. Kathleen Wolf, Research Social Scientist with the College of the Environment, University of Washington. Dr. Wolf is known for her research, which is focused on better understanding the human dimensions of urban forestry and ecosystems.
???We are pleased to co-host this year's conference and excited to have Dr. Kathleen Wolf share her intriguing research that quantifies the human health and economic impacts of trees,??? said Oklahoma State Forester George Geissler.
