The Oklahoma Highway Safety Plan is used to guide OHSO in planning and programming.
The goal of the annual plan is to strategically reduce traffic crashes and resulting deaths.
Oklahoma Highway Safety Office provides grant opportunities to agencies, organizations and governments to provide programs,
projects and services to help meet highway safety performance goals for the State of Oklahoma. These programs should utilize
evidence based strategies for highway safety programs intended to reduce the number of deaths and serious injuries from crashes in our state.
OSHO develops and manages programs to reduce injuries and deaths on Oklahoma roads.
These include campaigns to reduce impaired driving, increase seat belt usage, better train motorcyclists and drivers, and to keep child passengers safe.
