John K. Parker, a native of Southwestern Oklahoma, has been Director of Audits for the Oklahoma Department of Transportation since 1996.
Parker was born in Olustee and graduated from Noble High School. He attended the University of Central Oklahoma in Edmond, where he earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Accounting. He is also a Certified Public Accountant.
Parker is member of the Board of Governors for the Oklahoma City Chapter of the Institute of Internal Auditors and an active member of the Oklahoma Society of Certified Public Accountants. He is the past chairman of the Peer Review Committee for the AASHTO Administrative Subcommittee on Internal and External Audit. Parker previously served as a member of the board of directors and secretary of the Sportsman’s Country Club and as a reserve deputy with the Oklahoma County Sheriff’s Department.
Parker lives in Oklahoma City and has four children.
