Craig Moody, of Oklahoma City, was named Rail Programs Division Manager for the Oklahoma Department of Transportation in 2013. He has more than 25 years of experience with the agency, most recently as the Program Coordination Branch Manager in the department’s Planning and Research Division. In his current position, Moody oversees ODOT’s efforts to manage and improve the state’s rail system, including overseeing the state’s partnership with Amtrak to provide passenger rail service on the Heartland Flyer, maintenance of more than 200 miles of state-owned railway and implementing the Oklahoma Statewide Freight and Passenger Rail Plan.
Moody began his career with ODOT in 1987 in the Roadway Design Division. He then worked in the Planning and Research Division as System Section Manager, Public Involvement Officer and then Program Coordination Branch Manager. Moody has organized and conducted numerous public meetings to gather input and deliver information on some of ODOT’s largest projects including relocation of the I-40 Crosstown and the proposed Oklahoma City Boulevard in downtown Oklahoma City, and the I-44 Riverside to Yale reconstruction project in Tulsa. He also represents ODOT on the State Geographic Information Council.
Moody was born in Ardmore and attended Oklahoma State University and the University of Oklahoma. He lives in Oklahoma City.
