Brad Burgess was reappointed to the Oklahoma Transportation Commission by Gov. Mary Fallin in April 2011. Since 2003, Burgess has served as the commissioner for District Seven, which covers nine counties in southern Oklahoma. He recently ellected Vice-Chairman for the Oklahoma Department of Transportation Commission at the March 6, 2015 Commission meeting.
Burgess is a senior partner and managing partner for the Burgess & Hightower Law Firm in Lawton and is a principal and member of the board of directors of TELOS-OK, a software engineering and information technology company. He is also vice president of Vortex Inc., an investment corporation.
He holds a bachelor’s degree from Cameron University and Juris Doctorate from The University of Oklahoma School of Law.
He is a member of the State Banking Board and has been a member of Crimestoppers of Southwest Oklahoma for a number of years.
Burgess is active in the American and Oklahoma Bar Associations and other professional organizations.
He and his wife, Karen, have two children.
