Jim E. Hamilton Correctional Center
Jim E. Hamilton Correctional Center (JEHCC) is located in Hodgen, Oklahoma, on the northern edge of the Ouachita National Forest and houses approximately 730 male inmates. JEHCC is also the host facility to 48 LeFlore County Jail contract beds.
JEHCC is the largest correctional vocational training program in the state. The Career Tech program includes seven different skill area programs: Construction Technology, Industrial Electricity, Air Conditioning/Refrigeration, Welding, Engine Performance, Steering/Suspension/Brakes and Transmission Repair. The facility’s education department also provides additional education which includes: Literacy, Adult Basic Education, GED, college level courses and a Re-Entry program.
JEHCC has over 130 volunteers of various faiths, which participate in many different religious/educational and substance abuse education such as Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous. These programs are scheduled seven days a week.
Inmates can enroll in The Victory Bible College (VBC) and can earn 11 college hours of credit upon completion. The credits can be transferred to the Victory Bible Institute campus in Tulsa, Oral Roberts University, or several other Christian colleges.
