GRANT TITLE: PROJECT SAFE NEIGHBORHOODS (PSN)
OVERVIEW: Project Safe Neighborhoods is a nationwide initiative that brings together federal, state, local, and tribal law enforcement officials, prosecutors, and community leaders to identify the most pressing violent crime problems in a community and develop comprehensive solutions to address them. Directed by the 93 United States Attorneys throughout the country, Project Safe Neighborhoods is a comprehensive initiative to reduce gun crime in America. The District Attorneys Council, Federal Grants Division serves as the fiscal agent for the U.S. Attorneys in the Western, Northern, and Eastern Districts of Oklahoma.
ELIGIBILITY: To be eligible for funding, an applicant must be a(n): a) State Agency; b) Unit of Local Government (i.e., city, county, town); c) Tribal Government; or d) Private, Non-profit Community-based Organization.
DEADLINE TO SUBMIT AN APPLICATION: Each U.S. Attorney District is unique and only projects that are located within that district may apply.
Applications for the Northern and Western District are currently closed, but will open in in Fall 2024 when new funding becomes available.
Eastern District applications are currently open. Please e-mail DAC-Grants@dac.state.ok.us to request an application.
