ABLE Tech recently unveiled AT Discovery, a new website feature designed to make information easier to find. Each AT Discovery page covers a different category of AT, such as vision, hearing, speech, etc., and provides considerations, case studies, and recommendations of devices to try. Each page lists potential funding sources and links to the funding guide OK Funding for Assistive Technology, which explains the steps and strategies for acquiring AT and provides information about a wide range of public and private funding sources.
ABLE Tech is also excited to offer a series of AT Discovery Webinars aligned with the AT Discovery web pages. Webinars will begin at 3:45 and conclude at 4:30 on the dates listed below, and will include case studies. Participants will be encouraged to ask questions about challenging cases they are encountering. We are excited about this new interactive opportunity to assist schools and AT Partners statewide with determining appropriate AT for students with disabilities. Watch your email inbox for webinar details and login information!

John is an Oklahoma county resident with hearing loss and vision loss. He loves to read, so his daughter came to ABLE Tech to borrow an iPad to see if he could download new books to read with the accessibility features. He was able to enlarge the font and enjoy reading on the iPad. He can access his email in large text also. He was very thankful for the trial through ABLE Tech.
Boom'r Beeper Ball
Throw, Bounce, or Kick These Really Tough Balls! Loud electronic sounds provide auditory clues, allowing children with limited vision to join in the action. Battery-powered (9-volt) electronic beeper, in a hardened, slip-in/slip-out module, generates sharp, loud sounds.
