Clarification to HealthChoice Coverage for Childhood Obesity Screenings and Interventions

Effective January 1, 2013, HealthChoice will begin covering childhood obesity screening and interventions. Previous material released listed billing codes 99383, 99384, 99385, 99393, 99394, 99395 as covered at 100% of Allowed Charges for our members who meet the clinical criteria and use a HealthChoice Network Provider.

Please be advised that, in addition to the above codes, HealthChoice has added two additional billing codes – 99382 and 99392 as covered benefits. These codes will also be covered at 100% of the Allowed Charges.
