The State Board of Education at its April 26, 2012 meeting heard updates on the TLE system implementation and ACE graduation survey results. The board approved changes to Tulsa's teacher evaluation model, voted to keep Santa Fe South Middle School of the C3 Partnership Schools list, and awarded School Improvement Grants to three schools.

Oklahoma high school students compete in OSU unmanned aircraft invitational

Seven teams of high school or career tech students participated in this year’s Speedfest, an unmanned areal vehicle competition, at Oklahoma State University’s Unmanned Aircraft Flight Station in Stillwater, held April 28-29.

Oklahoma Receives Additional $5.6 Million for Low-performing Schools

Oklahoma this week received $5.6 million for fiscal year 2013 to continue the work of turning around its persistently lowest-achieving schools through the U.S. Department of Education's School Improvement Grants (SIG) program.
