Math Teachers Can Win $25,000

The Museum of Mathematics (MoMath) is offering a $25,000 prize for Innovation in Math Teaching for fourth- through 12th-grade math teacher.

Pre-Kindergarten and the Common Core

The Oklahoma State Department of Education will host a two-day "Early Childhood Work Days" on July 16-17 in Oklahoma City with the primary focus of drafting proposed revisions to the current Oklahoma C3 Pre-Kindergarten standards in English/Language Arts and Mathematics as well as develop a Building Academic Vocabulary for Pre-Kindergarten.

Oklahoma City Community Foundation Awards $217,500 to 145 Area High School Seniors

The Oklahoma City Community Foundation Trustees awarded 145 area high school seniors with a total of $217,500 in scholar awards through the Community Foundation Scholars program. The recipients, who represent 51 public and private high schools located in four counties within central Oklahoma, will each receive a $1,500 scholarship for the 2012-2013 academic year.
