Public Comment Period Opens for Track 2 Administrative Rules

To School Administrators:

On November 1, 2013, the Oklahoma State Department of Education published a Notice of Rulemaking Intent (NRI) in the Oklahoma Register notifying the public of its intent to amend specific rules. Copies of proposed draft rules and Rule Impact Statements are available at  http://ok.gov/sde/administrative-rules.

TLE October Newsletter | All-Call for Value-Added Measure (VAM) Working Groups!

TLE Working Group 3 (WG 3) registration is now available on a first-come, first-served basis! This working group will meet to make recommendations for Value-Added Model (VAM) calculations for teachers/leaders of tested grades and subjects (35% of TLE).  Read the full newsletter

 

 

REAC3H Professional Development Opportunities Around the Corner

All Oklahoma School District leaders should register themselves and up to 30 teacher-leaders for REAC3H Regional professional development opportunities, which begin Aug. 2. The trainings provide an in-depth analysis of the Oklahoma Academic Standards and will give participants a better understanding of what the standards ask students to do, significant shifts in instruction, and strategies teachers can effectively implement into their curriculum and teaching practices.

ACE Graduation Requirements

 

Parents, did you know that all students must demonstrate proficiency in four of seven subject areas to graduate from High School? To demonstrate proficiency, a student must score a satisfactory or advanced on the end-of-instruction exam (EOI) or complete one of the other options described below.
