Public Comment Period Opens for Track 2 Administrative Rules


To School Administrators:

On November 1, 2013, the Oklahoma State Department of Education published a Notice of Rulemaking Intent (NRI) in the Oklahoma Register notifying the public of its intent to amend specific rules. Copies of proposed draft rules and Rule Impact Statements are available at  http://ok.gov/sde/administrative-rules.

Written comments on the proposed rule will be accepted through 4:30 p.m. on December 6, 2013. Written submissions may be submitted via email to rules@sde.ok.gov during the open public comment period.

A public hearing whereby members of the public may submit oral comments is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. on Friday, December 6, 2013, at the Hodge Education Building, State Board Room, Room 1-20, 2500 North Lincoln Boulevard, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Persons wishing to speak must sign in at the door of the State Board Room prior to the start of the hearing. Time limitations may be imposed on oral presentations to ensure that all persons who desire to make oral comments will have an opportunity to do so.
