WHO: The Oklahoma State Board of Education will hold a special board meeting
WHAT: The board first will recess for a recognition ceremony for Reward Schools – those schools identified as being the highest achieving in all state assessments or having high progress in reading and mathematics. When the board reconvenes, they will consider approving recommendations regarding C3 Partnership Schools – those schools that have been identified as low-achieving and the most in need of an intensive intervention partnership with the state.
WHEN: 9:30 a.m., Monday, April 9.
WHERE: The Reward School recognition ceremony will be in held in the Concourse Theater, located in the basement between the Oliver Hodge Building and the Sequoyah Building. The schools will be recognized by Legislators at the State Capitol at 1:30 p.m. The State Board of Education meeting will reconvene at about 10:45 a.m. in the Oliver Hodge Building, 2500 N Lincoln Blvd., Suite 1-20, Oklahoma City.
