STEM is an acronym for Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics, but it is so much broader and deeper than just that! STEM is the enhanced instructional practices that light the way to a new future of science and math education and it begins at the elementary level. At the core of STEM is full student engaged exploratory learning that is infused with literacy. Mathematical concepts and OC3 standards make up the spoken language of STEM so that all departmentalizing walls are broken down in the approach. The ultimate goal of STEM education is to mold and shape the innovative minds that are needed to lead in the 21st Century!
