OSBI Investigates Shooting Death in Delaware County

Saturday evening (11-3-2012) at approximately 7 o’clock William Alan Martin (7-18-1964) was shot and killed outside a home on South 530 Road, Leach. Martin, from Leach, went to that home to check on a relative. A confrontation ensued between Martin and the home owner (the home owner is not the relative). The home owner shot Martin. Martin died at the scene. The Delaware County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene and requested OSBI agents help investigate the shooting death. No one is under arrest at this time. Therefore, the home owner’s name will not be released. The district attorney will review the OSBI report and determine how to proceed.
