Investigators Need Help Identifying Lincoln County Murder Victim

The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office requested OSBI assistance regarding a homicide victim discovered Wednesday evening along 960 Road southwest of Wellston.

Deputies and agents spent the night documenting the crime scene and collecting evidence from the area. The medical examiner has taken possession of the body and will perform an autopsy to determine the man’s cause and manner of death. Investigators need the victim identified to help generate leads in the case. The male victim had a tattoo on each arm. The tattoo on the victim’s right arm has three initials. The tattoo on the victim’s left arm is the symbol of a cross. A photograph of the tattoo of the initials is attached to this release. The cross tattoo will be sent shortly.
