***Attention FY 13 Grantees***
FY 2013 Annual Reports are to be submitted to OHSO no later that November 1, 2013. Click here for the End of the Year Summary Report.
The Oklahoma Highway Safety Office (OHSO) receives funds annually from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) to promote traffic safety initiatives within the State of Oklahoma. The OHSO solicits applications for highway safety grant projects designed to combat the number and severity of traffic crashes by developing and supporting educational, enforcement and engineering programs (OHSO Mission). The contract period coincides with the Federal Fiscal Year, which runs from October 1st through September 30th. All grant applications must contain sufficient documentation to determine the project goal, description, cost and evaluation benchmarks. The project goal(s) must be consistent with the OHSO Statewide goals as set forth in the application.
Applications should be submitted through the OKGrants online system from the available grant opportunities from the Oklahoma Highway Safety Office. Applications must be submitted to the Oklahoma Highway Safety Office through the OKGrants online system by February 28 of the current fiscal year.
The grant application review process normally takes place during the months of April and May. All grant applications received are reviewed for content, quality and timeliness. Since the amount of monies available is limited and may vary from year to year, not all applications received will be selected for funding. Applicants will be notified through the OKGrants online system.
Applications for FY 2014 will be accepted from February 4, 2013 through February 28, 2013.
