PGY IV

This for most is a consolidation year.  Residents continue therapy cases, have electives, and plan their careers. They also return to adolescent inpatient and consult services, but with an emphasis of becoming able to run the units without as much supervision. Residents freed of call burdens, also help supervise junior residents. Newly added is a focus on psychodynamic therapy, with an 8 month seminar and case discussion offered by the Oklahoma Psychoanalytic Society (OSPS.info). This seminar is designed to help continue the understanding of the mind, and expansion of therapy technique.
