| Job Summary |

Under general supervision of the Director of Programs and the Client Service Manager for SBIR, supports implementation of OCAST’s new Oklahoma Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) Oklahoma SBIR Collaborative Resource program known as OSCR, and performs related work as required.
Internship will provide on-the-job training and exposure to firsthand application of solutions to problems in the public and private sectors.

| Examples of Work Performed |
- Oversees the external proposal reviewer (EPR) service. The EPR is a new resource OSCR provides in identifying commercialization experts and technically savvy people across many fields who review applications before they are submitted to the funding agency or program.
- Identification of SBIR/STTR funding opportunities by staying updated on federal funding opportunities and briefing Client Service Managers on those opportunities. Communicate opportunities to clients and assist clients with their participation in a funding opportunity.
- Presentation Preparation: Develop presentations that will be used to educate OCAST clients on the benefits of OSCR, SBIR/STTR and OCAST resources.
- Manage a client calendar, contact and informational database.
- Assist with OSCR program strategy, development and management at the discretion of the Client Service Manager.
- General administrative and clerical duties as assigned.

Ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks and a high volume of work in a timely manner.
Ability to evaluate information and data and provide effective reports.
Demonstrate effective communication skills – both written and oral.

| Education and Experience |
|
Undergraduate upperclassman or graduate student with education in an area providing experience in business development and/or research and development and project management skills.
Proven ability to apply knowledge and skill to help solve complex problems.
