Determine Who Regulates the Institution

Though the Oklahoma State Banking Department regulates:

… we do not regulate each and every one you might find in Oklahoma. Some have federal regulators, while others are regulated by agencies in other states.

Some types of institutions such as mortgage companies, pawn shops, loan companies, check cashing companies, finance companies, credit card companies, etc…  that seem like they might fall under Banking Department regulation are actually overseen by other agencies, including other Oklahoma state agencies.
