Winter Weather Event
Saturday morning a strengthening storm system moved into west Texas bringing precipitation to Oklahoma. During the overnight hours an Arctic cold front had moved through the state resulting in temperatures near or below freezing statewide. Strong north winds followed the front, bringing a quick end to the spring time weather experienced on Friday. Snow is expected across much of the state and the State Emergency Operations Center is activated in support of local jurisdictions needing state resources.
